The next UFC event that will take place in England will be on March 8th of next year and the event will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout as Alexander Gustafsson will meet Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
UFC President Dana White announced the fight booking during the UFC Fight Night 30 Post Fight Press Conference.
The broadcast plans for this fight card are unknown at this time, but the event will come from London’s O2 Arena.
Gustafsson (15-2) is coming off a close decision defeat against UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. A victory against Nogueira will secure him another crack at the title and potentially another fight against Jones if he gets by Glover Teixeira in his next title defense.
Nogueira (21-5) has won back to back fights, including a decision victory over Rashad Evans at UFC 156 at the beginning of the year. He was scheduled to return during the summer against Dan Henderson, but an injury forced him to pull out of the fight.
Along with the light heavyweight bout, the UFC is planning to have a rematch between Ross Pearson and Melvin Guillard to take place on this card.
