The ninth season of Bellator MMA will conclude on November 22nd in Pennsylvania as heavyweight champion Alexander Volkov defends the title against Summer Series tournament winner Vitaly Minakov.
Bellator MMA announced the fight booking on Friday afternoon and also announced that this fight card will feature two season nine tournament finals.
Bellator 109 will come from the Sands Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting Ticketmaster.com or the Sands Casino Event Center Box Office.
Volkov (19-3) won the season seven Bellator heavyweight tournament to win the vacant title and this will be his first fight since winning the title at the end of last year. He is currently on a ten fight winning streak and fourteen of his career wins have come by TKO/KO.
Minakov (12-0) won the Summer Series heavyweight tournament at the end of July when he defeated Ryan Martinez by TKO in the third round. It was his fifth straight victory by TKO/KO and all of his wins have come by stoppage.
