Guto Inocente makes UFC debut against Shane Del Rosario at UFC 168

A heavyweight bout has been added to December’s UFC 168 as former Strikeforce fighter Guto Inocente will make his debut in the UFC against Shane Del Rosario. UFC 168

UFC officials announced the fight booking on Friday afternoon and the bout will be placed on the preliminary card.

UFC 168 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on December 28th and will be headlined by a rematch as Chris Weidman defends the UFC middleweight title against former champion Anderson Silva.

Inocente (6-2) is currently on a four fight winning streak and is only fight in Strikeforce came in May of 2012 as he defeated Virgil Zwicker by unanimous decision in a light heavyweight bout. His previous five wins had all come by stoppage with his first three wins coming by submission.

Del Rosario (11-2) is also a former Strikeforce fighter and has dropped back to back fights since coming to the UFC. Both of his defeats in the UFC have come by TKO/KO in the second round and his last win took place in 2011 against Lavar Johnson.
