A lightweight bout has been added to UFC on FOX 9 in December as Cody McKenzie returns to the division and will meet Sat Stout.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Thursday afternoon and the bout will take place on the preliminary portion of the fight card.
UFC on FOX 9 will come from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on December 14th and will be headlined by Anthony Pettis defending the UFC lightweight title against Josh Thomson.
McKenzie (14-3) entered the UFC through The Ultimate Fighter 12 and has gone 3-3 in the organization. He most recently defeated Leonard Garcia at UFC 159 by unanimous decision and this will be his first fight in the UFC lightweight division since 2012.
Stout (19-9-1) has won four of his last seven fights in the UFC and has won the fight of the night bonus in two of his last four fights. His most recent appearance in the octagon came at UFC 161 and was defeated in the third round against James Krause.
