Welterweight Tournament Final between Rick Hawn and Ron Keslar set for Bellator 109

The season nine Bellator MMA welterweight tournament is set for Bellator 109 on November 22nd as Rick Hawn will meet Ron Keslar. Bellator 109

Bellator MMA Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney announced the date for the tournament final at the Bellator 104 Post Fight Press Conference.

Hawn (17-2) secured his spot in the tournament final by defeating Brent Weedman by unanimous decision in the main event of Bellator 104. He was able to use his striking to win the fight on the judges scorecards, and he has won three straight fights since moving back up to the welterweight division.

Keslar (11-3) defeated  Jon “War Machine” Koppenhaver by technical submission in the first round to secure his spot in the final in the co-main event of Bellator 104. He was able to get the back of Koppenhaver early in the fight and was eventually able to lock in a rear-naked choke. He has now won six in a row and this is his fifth career submission victory.

Bellator 109 will come from the Sands Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on November 22nd and event will be headlined by Alexander Volkov defending the Bellator heavyweight title against Vitaly Minakov.
