The Bellator 106 weigh-ins took place on Friday afternoon and all three title fights are now official as the fighters were on weight.
Today’s weigh-ins took place inside the lobby of the Long Beach Arena, which will host tomorrow’s fight card.
In the main event, Michael Chandler (154.8 lbs) will defend the Bellator lightweight title against Eddie Alvarez (154.5 lbs) in a rematch of their 2011 bout. In their first meeting, Chandler upset Alvarez to become the second lightweight champion in Bellator history.
The other two title fights on the card will be for the interim light heavyweight title as Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal (204.1 lbs) meets Emanuel Newton (203.4 lbs), and Pat Curran (144.8 lbs) defends the featherweight title against Daniel Straus (144.2 lbs).
The only fighters that were not on weight were preliminary card fighters Joe Camacho and Cleber Luciano. There were scheduled to meet each other in a featherweight bout (145 lbs), but Camacho came in at 150 pounds and Luciano at 149 pounds. With both fighters missing weight by at least three pounds, the fight will now be a catchweight bout of 150 pounds.
