UPDATED 11/8 — UFC Fight Night 31 and the tenth episode of The Ultimate Fighter 18: Rousey vs Tate Episode 10 took place last night on Fox Sports 1 and TUF.
According to Nielsen sources, the preliminary overnight rating for UFC Fight Night 31 main card landed at 641,000 total viewers.
These numbers are up 425 % from the extremely low UFC Fight Night 30 (122k live), which took place early in the afternoon on Fox Sports 2.
This also brings the average audience for Wednesday night 7PM EST start time cards to 606k. Not exactly great, but clearly, we have found the bottom for Wednesday.
UFC Fight Night 26 still rules the world with a huge 1.78 million viewers and 1.38 in the 18-49 adult demographic rating all the way back in August.
According to the same Nielsen sources, last night’s episode ten of The Ultimate Fighter landed at 538,000 total viewers which is up 29 percent from the last weeks episode which landed at 452k total viewers.
This 29 percent increase also helped push the average viewership for the season to 659k, well below what the UFC wants, but still great for Fox Sports 1.
When it came to the competition last night, Country Music’s CMA’s ruled the TV, offering up a huge 16.63 million viewers and a 4.7/13 rating on ABC. This is up 25% from last year and is the most watched CMA’s over the past four years. The rest of the national scene also did well with both Arrow and Survivor rising in both viewers and demographic numbers from last week.
