UFC veteran Diego Sanchez has signed a new contract with the organization and his next fight will take place at UFC 171 against Myles Jury.
The UFC announced the fight booking on Thursday and the bout may be one of the five fights on the main card broadcast on pay-per-view.
UFC 171 takes place on March 15th from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas and will be headlined by Jon Jones defending the UFC light heavyweight title against Glover Teixeira.
Sanchez (24-6) returned to the lightweight division at the beginning of 2013 and defeated Takanori Gomi by split decision. He returned at UFC 166 in October and was defeated by Gilbert Melendez in one of the best fights of the year in the UFC.
Jury (13-0) is an Ultimate Fighter alum and has won his first four fights in the UFC. He is coming off a split decision victory at UFC 165 against Mike Ricci and it was only the second time that he has gone the distance in a fight.
The current UFC 171: Jones vs. Teixeira card is below.
