A flyweight bout has been added to UFC 169 on February 1st as John Lineker meets Ali Bagautinov in a bout that could have title implications.
The fight booking was reported by various media outlets over the past couple of days and the UFC confirmed the bout on Wednesday evening.
UFC 169 takes place on February 1st from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and will be headline by Dominick Cruz meeting Renan Barao in a bantamweight title unification bout.
Lineker (23-6) has won four of his five fights in the UFC, but has missed weight in three of those five fights. His last three wins have come by TKO and is coming off a first round victory at UFC Fight Night 30 against Phil Harris.
Bagautinov (12-2) is currently on a ten fight winning streak and has gone 2-0 in the UFC. His UFC debut came in September and he defeated Marcos Vinicius by TKO in the third round at UFC Fight Night 28. He returned to the UFC last month and defeated Tim Elliott by unanimous decision at UFC 167.
