A lightweight bout has been added to UFC 171 on March 15th in Dallas as undefeated fighter Francisco Trevino has signed with the organization and will meet Renee Forte.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Monday and the bout will be placed on the preliminary card.
UFC 171 takes place on March 15th from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas and will be headlined by Johny Hendricks facing Robbie Lawler for the vacant UFC welterweight title.
Trevino (11-0) made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2008 and eight of his eleven victories have come by knockout or submission. He most recently competed at Legacy Fighting Championship 25 in November and defeated Lester Batres.
Forte (8-3) entered the UFC during the inaugural season of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil and dropped to the lightweight division after losing his official UFC debut against Sergio Moraes. He won his lightweight debut against Terry Etim at UFC on FUEL TV 7 and was defeated by John Makdessi at UFC 165.
