Kyoji Horiguchi has pulled out of his UFC 169 bout against Chris Cariaso with an injury and a new opponent for Cariaso will be announced soon by the UFC.
The injury was announced by the UFC on Wednesday afternoon.
UFC 169 takes place on February 1st from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and will be headline by Renan Barao defending the UFC bantamweight title against Urijah Faber.
Horiguchi (12-1) was going to be making his UFC flyweight debut as he defeated Dustin Pague in his UFC debut as a bantamweight. In the announcement of his injury, the UFC did not state how long he will be on the sidelines.
Cariaso (15-5) entered the UFC in 2011 and his first four bouts in the organization came as a bantamweight. He dropped down to the flyweight division last year, and has gone 2-2 in the 125 pound weight class.
