World Series of Fighting 8 took place this past Saturday at Hard Rock Live inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida and the medical suspension and drug test results have been released by the commission.
The Florida Boxing Commission released the medical suspensions and drug test results to TheMMAReport.com on Thursday after they were requested.
The World Series of Fighting 8 card featured two title fights as Justin Gaethje defeated Rich Patishnock by knockout in the first round to win the inaugural lightweight title, and Jessica Aguilar submitted Alida Gray in the first round to win the inaugural women’s strawwweight title.
All four of the fighters in the title fights were drug tested by the Florida Boxing Commission and all of the test came back negative. They were the only fighters on the card that were drug tested as Florida law mandates that fighters in title fights must be drug tested.
Six of the fighters on the card did receive a medical suspension from the commission with the longest suspension going to preliminary card fighter Vladir Araujo. He received an indefinite suspension and he will need neurologic clearance to come off suspension.
The complete World Series of Fighting 8 medical suspensions are below.
Rich Patishnock: Suspended 30 days (TKO)
Mike Kyle: Suspended 60 days (KO)
Jorge Patino: Suspended indefinitely and neurologic clearance is required
