Chris Weidman injury, title defense against Lyoto Machida moved to UFC 175

UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman suffered an knee injury recently that will require him to have minor surgery and his title defense against Lyoto Machida has been pushed backed to UFC 175 on July 5th.UFC 173 Poster

UFC officials announced the change on Monday and a new main event for UFC 173 will be announced shortly by the UFC.

UFC 173 takes place on May 24th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and tickets for the fight card are scheduled to go on sale this week.
