An undisclosed injury has forced Danny Mitchell to pull out of his UFC 173 bout against Jingliang Li and replacing Mitchell in the fight will be David Michaud.
The announcement of the injury and new fight booking was recently confirmed by the UFC.
UFC 173 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 24th and will be headlined by Renan Barao defending the bantamweight title against T.J. Dillashaw.
Michaud (7-0) appeared on The Ultimate Fighter 16 and was eliminated in the opening round. Six of his seven victories have come by stoppage and his last two wins have come by submission.
Li (8-2) has won back to back fights and five of his last seven fights. His last win came in April of last year by submission and it was his fifth career win to come by submission. Four of his five submission wins have come by guillotine choke and he trains out of China Top Team.
