A lightweight bout that was initially booked for UFC 169 earlier this year has been re-booked as for UFC 176 in August as Abel Trujillo will face Bobby Green.
The fight booking was initially reported by ESPN and was confirmed by the UFC shortly after the report.
UFC 176 will come from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and will be headlined by a title rematch as Jose Aldo defends the featherweight title against Chad Mendes.
Trujillo (12-5, 1NC) was scheduled to face Myles Jury at UFC Fight Night 44 at the end of this month, but an injury to Jury scratched the fight. There were reports that Trujillo would face Frank Trevino at UFC Fight Night 44, but the fight was never officially announced.
Green (22-5) has pulled out of two fights this year due to injuries and this will be his first fight since defeating Pat Healy at UFC on FOX 9 at the end of 2013. He is currently on a seven fight winning streak and two of his three wins in the UFC have come by stoppage.
