The main event for UFC Fight Night 49 on August 23rd has been announced as former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson will look for his third straight victory since losing the title as he will meet Rafael dos Anjos.
The fight booking was initially announced by Tulsa World and has now been confirmed by the UFC.
UFC Fight Night 49 will come from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 23rd and tickets will go on sale July 11th.
Henderson (21-3) is coming off a submission victory at UFC Fight Night 42 two weeks ago as he defeated Rustam Khabilov. It was his first stoppage victory in the UFC and he has won nine of his ten fights in the promotion.
Dos Anjos (21-7) was also on the UFC Fight Night 42 card as he defeated Jason High by TKO in the second round. He has won six of his last seven fights and is currently ranked as the number five contender in the UFC media rankings.
