Titan Fighting Championships has announced its next two fight cards and the events will be headlined by title fights in the welterweight and light heavyweight divisions.
The vacant welterweight title fight between Ben Saunders and Matt Riddle will headline the August 22nd card in North Carolina, and the inaugural light heavyweight title will be decided on September 26th in Texas as Vinny Magalhaes meets Jason Brilz.
Titan FC CEO Jeff Aronson told MMAFighting.com the fight bookings on Tuesday evening.
Saunders (16-6-2) will be making his Titan FC debut in the vacant title fight and this will be his first fight since losing to Douglas Lima in the Bellator welterweight tournament. Prior to his second fight with Lima, he had won three in a row and two of those wins had come by TKO/KO in the first round. Riddle (8-3, 2NC) made his Titan FC debut earlier this year and submitted Michael Kuiper. He is unbeaten in his last five fights (3-0, 2NC) and his submission win over Kuiper was his first career victory by submission.
Magalhaes (10-7, 1NC) briefly retired following his lost to Anthony Perosh at UFC 163 last year. It was his second straight defeat and he was defeated by knockout. Brilz (21-5-1) has won three straight fights after exiting from the UFC in late 2011. During his recent winning streak, two of the three wins have come by decision in Victory Fighting Championships and his last win took place in December against Dallas Mitchell.
Titan FC 29 will come from the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, North Carolina on August 22nd and Titan FC 30 will take place on September 26th from the Cedar Park Center in Cedar Park, Texas.
