World Series of Fighting 11 took place this past weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida and lightweight champion Justin Gaethje and Nick Newell were the only fighters that were drug tested by the Florida State Boxing Commission.
The drug test information was released to TheMMAReport.com on Tuesday after they were requested and the Florida State Boxing Commission confirmed that the drug test of Gaethje and Newell came back negative.
World Series of Fighting 11 came from the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida and marked the third time that the promotion has held a fight card in the state of Florida. The event was shown on NBC and Gaethje defeated Newell in the second round by TKO to retain the World Series of Fighting lightweight title.
According to Florida State law, the commission is only required to test fighters in championship fights and the commission only tested fighters in title fights at the World Series of Fighting event in January that took place in Hollywood, Florida.
In addition, the commission stated that due to new state laws that went into effect on July 1st, fighter payroll and attendance figures are no longer considered public record in the state of Florida.
