A bantamweight bout between two UFC signings has completed this month’s UFC 177 fight card as former Bellator champion Joe Soto will meet former MFC champion Anthony Birchak.
UFC officials announced the fight booking earlier today.
UFC 177 will come from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California and will be headlined by TJ Dillashaw defending the UFC bantamweight title against former champion Renan Barao.
Soto (15-2) is currently on a six fight winning streak and is coming off a three round submission at Tachi Palace Fights 20 against Terrion Ware. Four of his last five wins have come by submission and he has only done to the decision once in his career.
Birchak (11-1) was recently released by the MFC after he became unable to cross the border into Canada from the United States. He has won his last five fights and his last fight came in October of last year as he defeated Tito Jones by submission.
