UFC Fight Night 47 took place on Saturday night at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine and was headlined by Ryan Bader winning his third straight fight as he won a decision against Ovince St. Preux.
According to Carleton Curtis of Fox Sports, the main card on Fox Sports 1 had 735,000 viewers in the preliminary ratings and the Fox Sports Live following the event average 428,000 viewers.
In addition, Nielson sources confirmed to TheMMAReport.com that the preliminary card on Fox Sports 2 came in at 116,000 viewers in the preliminary ratings.
Saturday night’s viewership is up 4.7 percent from the previous Saturday UFC Fight Night to air on Fox Sports 1, which was UFC Fight Night 44 at the end of June. The last Fight Night card to air on the network was UFC Fight Night 45 last month, which was on a Wednesday and had 640,000 viewers in the preliminary ratings.
With the viewership from Saturday, the main card average for UFC Fight Night/TUF Finale main cards on Fox Sports 1 in 2014 is now 833,000 in the preliminary ratings and the average for a Saturday main card on the cable sports network is 783,000 viewers.
