The medical suspensions for World Series of Fighting 12 have been released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and six fighters on the card received a suspension.
The commission released the medical suspensions on Monday and the suspensions were forwarded to TheMMAReport.com after they were requested.
World Series of Fighting 12 took place on Saturday night at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and was headlined by Luis Palomino defeated Lewis Gonzalez by TKO in the first round.
The complete World Series of Fighting 12 medical suspensions are below:
- Lewis Gonzalez: Suspended until 09/24/14 and no contact until 09/09/14 (right eyelid and scalp lacerations).
- Ronny Markes: Suspended until 09/24/14 and no contact until 09/09/14 (left upper eyelid laceration, right knee & left ankle tenderness).
- Lucas Montoya: Suspended until 09/24/14 and no contact until 09/09/14 (left cheek laceration),
- Jimmy Spicuzza: Must have right orbital floor blowout, nasal and right hand fractures cleared by Dr or no contest until 02/06/15; minimum suspension no contest until 09/24/14 and no contact until 09/09/14.
- Jorge Lopez: Suspended until 09/09/14 and no contact until 08/31/14 – follow up with rib x-rays if still painful in 3 – 4 days; if positive then must be cleared by Dr or no contest until 02/06/15.
- Soslan Abanokov: Suspended until 09/09/14 and no contact until 08/31/14 (left eyelid laceration).
