Bellator will be returning to the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma on October 10th and the fight card will be headlined by Eduardo Dantas meeting Joe Warren in a bantamweight title unification bout.
The fight booking was announced by Bellator on Monday and addition to the title fight, the main card will also see Michael Page vs. Nah-Shon Burrell, Tiger Sarnavskiy vs. John Gunderson, and Bubba McDaniel vs. Emiliano Sordi.
Bellator 128 will broadcast live at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT on Spike TV and the preliminary card will be streamed live and free on Spike.com beginning at 7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PT. Dantas and Warren were initially scheduled to meet each other in the main event of Bellator 118 in May, but Dantas pulled out of the fight with a head injury. Warren remained on the card and defeated Rafael Silva to win the interim bantamweight title.
“This boy has been running his mouth and talking [expletive] on social media for months,” Warren said. “He’s made this fight very personal for me and my family. My plan is to beat the Portuguese out of him, put him to sleep and have him dreaming in English! He backed out of the last fight a week before. I am the Bellator World Champion. The belt is on my waist. If he wants it back he can try to come get it! October 10th The Baddest Man will break another Brazilian in the Bellator cage. This will be the second title defense for Dantas, who became the Bellator 135 pound champion in 2012 when he submitted Zach Makovsky. Since winning the title, he has successfully defended the title against Marcos Galvao and Anthony Leone. Both of those wins came by stoppage and he wants to show the world that Warren “is a fraud.”
“There isn’t a bigger loud mouth than Joe Warren,” Dantas said. “He can talk all he wants, I’m going to rip his head off anyway. I think about the fight 24 hours a day, I want to show the world what a lie he is, and how he is a fraud.”
