With Norman Parke out, Diego Sanchez vs. Joe Lauzon announced for UFC 180

An undisclosed injury has forced Norman Parke to pull out of his UFC 180 bout against Diego Sanchez and replacing Parke on the November 15th card will be Joe Lauzon. UFC 180

UFC President Dana White announced the fight change earlier today.

UFC 180 will come from the Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico and will be headlined by Cain Velasquez defends the UFC heavyweight title against Fabricio Werdum.

Lauzon (24-9) has won back to back fights and is coming off a fight of the night victory against Michael Chiesa at UFC Fight Night 50 last month. He is 5-3 in his last eight fights and four of those wins have come by stoppage.

Sanchez (25-7) enters this fight after a controversial split decision victory against Ross Pearson in June and is 2-2 since coming back to the lightweight division. His last eight fights have gone the distance and his last stoppage win came in 2008.
