A heavyweight bout has been added to UFC 184 on February 28th in Los Angeles as Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva meets former UFC champion Frank Mir.
The fight booking was announced on Wednesday night on UFC Tonight.
UFC 184 will come from the Staples Center and will be headlined by Chris Weidman defending the UFC middleweight title against Vitor Belfort.
Silva (18-6-1) has gone winless in his last three fights (0-2-1) and his last win came at the beginning of last year against Alistair Overeem. His most recent fight came in September as he lost to Andrei Arlovski by knockout at UFC Fight Night 51.
Mir (16-9) is currently on a four fight losing streak and his most recent defeat came in February against Overeem. His last victory came in 2011 as he submitted Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira by kimura at UFC 140.
