A women’s bantamweight bout between former title challengers has been added to the UFC 183 card on January 31st in Las Vegas as Miesha Tate will meet Sara McMann.
The fight was announced during Wednesday night’s edition of UFC Tonight.
UFC 183 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on January 31st and will be headlined by former middleweight champion Anderson Silva facing former Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz.
Tate (15-5) has won back to back fights after losing to current UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 168. Her most recent win came in September against Rin Nakai by decision at UFC Fight Night 52.
McMann (8-1) lost to Rousey at the beginning of this year at UFC 170 as she was stopped in the first round by TKO. She returned in August and won a split decision at Lauren Murphy at UFC Fight Night 47.
