Edson Barboza vs. Michael Johnson set as co-main event of UFC Fight Night 61

The co-main event of UFC Fight Night 61 on February 22nd in Brazil is now set as Edson Barboza will meet Michael Johnson in a lightweight bout. UFC Fight Night 61

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Sunday.

UFC Fight Night 61 will come from the Gigantinho Gymnasium in Porto Alegre, Brazil and will be headlined by former UFC champion Rashad Evans facing Glover Teixeira in a light heavyweight bout.

Barboza (15-2) has won nine of his eleven fights in the UFC and currently has won back to back fights. His most recent victory came last month at UFC Fight Night 57 as he defeated Bobby Green by unanimous decision.

Johnson (15-8) is currently on a three fight winning streak and has been recovering from an injury recently. His last appearance in the octagon came in March as he defeated Melvin Guillard by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 37.
