The co-main event is now set for Bellator 132 in January as former WSOF featherweight champion Georgi Karakhanyan will meet Bubba Jenkins.
Bellator MMA President Scott Coker announced the fight booking on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour on MMA Fighting.
Bellator 132 will come from the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California and will be headlined by Patricio Pitbull defending the featherweight title against Daniel Straus in a rematch of their 2011 bout.
Karakhanyan (23-4-1) recently signed with Bellator and this is his return to the promotion as he was a participant in the season two and four featherweight tournaments. He is coming off a lost to Rick Glenn in June and the defeat snapped a nine fight winning streak.
Jenkins (8-1) is currently on a four fight winning streak and has won five of his six fights in Bellator. He is coming off a decision win against Thiago Meller at Bellator 126 and six of his wins have come by stoppage.
