Jesse McElligott will be returning to action next month at WSOF 20 in Connecticut as he is scheduled to meet Patrick Walsh on the preliminary card.
McElligott announced the fight booking during Friday’s edition of The MMA Report Live and the WSOF has not confirmed the fight booking at this time.
WSOF 20 will come from the Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut and will be headlined by middleweight champion David Branch moving up to the light heavyweight division to meet Ronny Markes in a semifinal bout in the promotions 205 pound tournament to crown the inaugural champion.
McElligott (5-1) has won back to back fights and four of his five win have come by stoppage. His last victory came in June of last year as he defeated Kevin Haley by submission at Victory 6. Walsh (5-2) exited the UFC after losing to Daniel Kelly at UFC Fight Night 60 in February. Prior to that defeat, he had won back to back fights including a decision win at The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale against Dan Spohn.
