Rib injury forces bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw out of UFC 186

A rib fracture has forced bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw to pull out of his upcoming title defense against Renan Barao at next month’s UFC 186.UFC 186

UFC President Dana White announced the injury during a radio interview on Tuesday.

According to an article on the UFC website, Dillashaw suffered the injury during a training session on Monday and there is no immediate timetable for his return.

Following the news of Dillashaw-Barao being scratched, MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani reported on Twitter that White informed him that the flyweight title fight between champion Demetrious Johnson and Kyoji Horiguchi already scheduled for the co-main event will now be the main event of the fight card.
