The upcoming UFC Fight Night 65 card in Manilla has two new fights as Gegard Mousasi meets Costa Philippou in a middleweight bout and Neil Magny faces Hyun Gyu Lim in a welterweight bout.
Both fight bookings were announced by the UFC on Monday evening.
UFC Fight Night 66 will come from the Mall of Asia Arena in Manilla and will be headlined by former UFC champion Frankie Edgar facing former WEC champion Urijah Faber in a featherweight bout.
Mousasi (36-5-2) is coming off a TKO win in January against Dan Henderson. Since enterering the UFC in 2013, Mousasi has gone 3-2 and he has won a fight night bonus in three of his last four fights. Philippou (13-4, 1NC) has gone 6-3 in the UFC and his last fight came in May of last year as he defeated Lorenz Larkin by knockout. He was scheduled to return in January, but an injury pulled him out of a bout against Uriah Hall.
Magny (14-3) has won six fights in a row and is coming off a performance of the night win at UFC Fight Night 60 against Kiichi Kunimoto. Three of his last four wins have come by stoppage as two of the wins have come by TKO/KO. Lim (13-4-1) is 3-1 in the UFC and has won a fight of the night bonus twice. His last appearance in the octagon came in September as he defeated Takenori Sato by TKO.
