Bellator 137: Halsey vs. Grove fight card finalized with addition of three preliminary card bouts

The complete fight card for next month’s Bellator 137 has been announced by Bellator with the addition of John Yoo vs. Albert Morales, Shawn Bunch vs. Rolando Perez, A.J. Jenkins vs. Arlene Blencowe.Bellator 137

The new fight bookings were announced by Bellator on Thursday afternoon and all three of these fights will be part of the dark preliminary bouts that will air after the main card.

Bellator 137 will take place on May 15th from the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California and the fight card will begin at 7:45 p.m. ET/4:45 p.m. PT with a five fight online preliminary card.

The main card on Spike TV will start at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT with four fights and will be headlined by a title fight as Brandon Halsey makes his first middleweight title defense as he is challenged by Kendall Grove.

  1. Rampage vs Zayats/ Mo vs Zwicker/ Newton vs Vassell II/ Davis vs Tito: 8 man lhw tourney. Winner gets to fight Liam for the title. What you think Jason? That would do huge ratings on Spike. Or it would even be a success on PPV too.

    1. The huge rating fight for Bellator to make is if they can get Rampage back in the promotion, book him against Tito.

      1. Bellator 140 will be a all welterweight main card. I think Daley will fight Zaromskis or Juarez. I’m not sure what the last fight on the main card will be.

  2. These ?’s are for the Insiders Podcast: This ? is for Sam: I was looking at Marcin Held’s opponents and one guy he beat had a couple of fights in Bellator. But I think he got cut. He’s a Russian prospect and his name is Murad Machaev. What happened with him, Aliev, Shamhalaev, Vegh, Ivanov, Gregchico, and Tsarev? Why did you guys cut them?

    Also do you guys think Phil Davis is the best fighter in Bellator now like some ppl are saying? I don’t. IMO these fighters are better: Patricio Pitbull/ Curran/ Brooks/ Minakov/ Volkov/ Held.

    A couple more ?’s: I think it’s unfair that everybody says Joe Silva is the best Matchmaker in MMA. I say that bc of course anybody could if they had about 600 of the best fighters in the world. I think he’s really overrated and other MMA matchamkers don’t get enough or at all credit. What do you guys think? I thought you did a great job in matchmaking and finding top talent in Bellator, Sam. Rich Chou is also good.

    Last one: Do you think Ben Askren ever fights in the UFC? If not do you think he’ll go back to Bellator after his One Championships’ deal is done?

  3. What are your dream MSG fight cards for UFC and Bellator if MMA becomes legal in NYC?

    2. Just depends on if and when MMA becomes legal. When it becomes legal, I do not expect to see a Bellator show at MSG, basically do to the cost of doing an event at that building. For any NYC show, UFC needs to have Weidman and Jones on the card while Bellator should have McGeary.

  4. Which is more likely WSOF vs Titan cross promotion or Bellator vs One Championship?

  5. What do you think about the 2015 NFL schedule? Also as I always been saying MMA needs competition, not multiple feeders to the UFC. The reason why I support Bellator is bc they are the underdogs and I love rooting for a team/ promotion that nobody believes in. Also bc Bellator is the only memory of Strikeforce that is left and I have left.
