The fight booking was confirmed to MMA Fighting on Tuesday by Bellator.

Bellator 139 will come from the Kansas Star Arena on June 26 and tickets are currently on sale for the event.

Kongo (22-10-2) is coming off a decision defeat to Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal in February and he has gone 4-2 in Bellator. Both of his defeats in Bellator have come by decision with the other lost coming against current heavyweight champion Vitaly Minakov. Volkov (24-5) was also defeated in his last fight as he lost a split decision to Tony Johnson two weeks ago at Bellator 136. The defeat snapped a five fight winning streak and his only other defeat in Bellator came against Minakov when he lost the Bellator title.
