After scoring three wins in the Bellator featherweight division, Darrion Caldwell is moving down to the bantamweight division and will meet Rafael Silva on the main card of next month’s Bellator 137.
The fight booking was announced by Bellator on Wednesday afternoon and the promotion also announced A.J. Matthews vs. Ben Reiter and Steve Kozola vs. Ian Butler have been added to the preliminary card.
Bellator 137 will come from the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California on May 15th and will be headlined by a title fight as Brandon Halsey defends the middleweight title against Kendall Grove.
Caldwell (6-0) has won two of his three fights in Bellator by submission and his 50 second submission over Lance Surma in his Bellator debut is the fastest submission in Bellator featherweight division history. His last appearance in the Bellator cage came in October as he defeated Anthony Dizy by decision. Silva (22-4) is 3-1 in Bellator and won the 2013 Summer Series bantamweight tournament. His only defeat in the Bellator cage came in an interim title fight against Joe Warren and he is coming off a decision win against Rob Emerson.
