The main event was announced for UFC Fight Night 73 tonight and the second fight for the August 8 event is now set as Ultimate Fighter alum Matt Van Buren will meet Jonathan Wilson in a light heavyweight bout.
The bout was recently placed on the official fight card on the UFC website.
UFC Fight Night 73 will come from the Bridgestone Arena and will be headlined by Ovince St. Preux meeting Glover Teixeira in a battle of top ten UFC light heavyweights.
Van Buren (6-4) was a finalist during The Ultimate Fighter 19 and he has dropped both of his official fights in the UFC. His most recent defeat came in January as he lost to Sean O’Connell in the Fight of the Night at UFC Fight Night 59. Wilson (6-0) was signed by the UFC late last year and was supposed to make his debut at UFC 181 against Corey Anderson. However, he had to pull out of the event and this will be his first fight since August of last year.
