A featherweight bout has been booked for UFC Fight Night 68 in New Orleans on June 6 as Thiago Tavares will meet Brian Ortega.
The fight booking was announced by both fighters on social media on late Tuesday evening.
UFC Fight Night 68 will come from the Smoothie King Center and will be headlined by a middleweight bout as Tim Boetsch meets Dan Henderson.
Tavares (19-5-1) made his featherweight debut last year and defeated Robbie Peralta by rear-naked choke submission in the first round. It was his second straight win and he is 4-1 in his last five fights. Ortega (8-0, 1NC) is returning to the UFC after being suspended last year following a positive drug test at UFC on FOX 12. He initially won that fight by submission and four of his eight wins are by submission.
