Two fights have been added to July’s UFC Fight Night 72 with the fights being Leon Edwards vs. Pawel Pawlak and Robert Whiteford vs. Paul Redmond.
Both fight bookings were announced by the UFC on Monday morning.
UFC Fight Night 72 will come from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on July 18 and the main event for the fight card has not been announced at this time.
Edwards (9-2) made his UFC debut and was defeated by Claudio Silva at UFC Fight Night 55 by split decision. He returned in April and scored a knockout in eight seconds as he defeated Seth Baczynski at UFC Fight Night 64. Just like Edwards, Pawlak (11-1) lost his UFC debut last year and is coming off a win at UFC Fight Night 64. His win came against Sheldon Westcott by unanimous decision and it was only his second win by decision.
Whiteford (11-2) was defeated by Jim Hettes in his UFC debut in 2013 and is coming off a decision win against Daniel Pineda at UFC 171. The win over Pineda was his fifth win by decision and this will be his first fight since that victory. Redmond (10-5) entered the UFC at the beginning of the year and lost a decision against Mirsad Bektic. Prior to that fight, he had won back to back fights and nine of his career wins are by stoppage.
The current UFC Fight Night 72 fight card is below.
Joseph Duffy (13-1) vs. Ivan Jorge (26-4)
Leon Edwards (9-2) vs. Pawel Pawlak (11-1)
Robert Whiteford (11-2) vs. Paul Redmond (10-5)
