Secor announced the fight booking on social media on Monday evening and a Bellator official confirmed the fight booking with The MMA Report on Tuesday.

Bellator 140 will come from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on July 17 and will be headlined by a title fight as Douglas Lima defends the welterweight title against two-time tournament winner Andrey Koreshkov.

Neer (36-14-1) returned to Bellator last year and was defeated by Paul Bradley in the main event of Bellator 129 by decision. The defeat snapped a three fight winning streak and all of those victories came by stoppage. Secor (6-2) will be making his second appearance in the Bellator cage, as his previous Bellator fight came in 2012 when he lost a decision against Nordine Taleb. He will enter this fight with two straight victories and both of those wins came in the WSOF.

The current Bellator 140: Lima vs. Koreshkov fight card is below.

Douglas Lima (26-5) vs. Andrey Koreshkov (17-1)
Chris Honeycutt (6-0) vs. Paul Bradley (22-6, 1NC)
Michael Page (7-0) vs. Rudy Bears (16-13)
Brennan Ward (10-3) vs. Gavin Sterritt (6-1)
Paul Daley (36-13-2) vs. Dennis Olson (14-8)
Josh Neer (36-14-1) vs. Matt Secor (6-2)

These ?’s are for the Insiders Podcast: Spike TV’s Friday Night Lights Out aren’t doing good in the Ratings. Is it time to move it to 10 pm est? When Bellator debuted on Spike in 2013 they had good ratings 10 pm est. UFC, Strikeforce, and Elite XC all had their best ratings at that time. UFC ratings are proving that.

Can we stop comparing Bellator to the UFC or boxing? Bellator doesn’t make the money UFC and boxing do. Also Bellator isn’t a true competitor like Pride, WEC, and Strikeforce all were.

Do you think Kimbo vs Shamrock actually happens with 10 days left till the fight?

Is the whole 140 card Welterweight fights? Who do you think Bellator match up’s Phil Davis and Melvin Guillard with for their first fight? I think Davis vs Vassell or Davis vs Newton. I wouldn’t even mind seeing Davis vs Mo. And I’d like to see Guillard vs Awad. I think they should make Awad vs Pitbull tho. How about Guillard vs Jansen?

2015 might be the greatest yr ever in UFC history and for MMA in general. Wouldn’t you guys agree?

Btw Jason I still haven’t got my movie from last time? You told me to let you know if I haven’t got it by this time.

I have asked the promotion company I work with for giveaways about the status of your DVD. There was a slight delay and they are being mailed out today.

Another ? for the Insiders Podcast: The MO state commission said they’d be doing testing for Bellator 138 and so far nothing. What’s going on, do you guys know anything about that? Only 10 days till the fight.
