The UFC will be heading to Canada on August 23 for UFC Fight Night 74 and the event will be headlined by a featherweight bout as Max Holloway will meet Charles Oliveira.
The event and fight booking was announced by the UFC on Monday morning.
UFC Fight Night 74 will take place at the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon and both fighters will join UFC Executive Tom Wright on Wednesday, June 24 for a press conference at the SaskTel Centre. This event is free and open to the public and will include a fan autograph signing after the press conference.
Holloway (13-3) is currently on a six fight winning streak and he has won a fight night bonus in three of those fights. His most recent win came in April as he submitted Cub Swanson at UFC on FOX 15. Oliveira (20-4, 1NC) has won his last four fights and three of those wins have come by submission. He is coming off a submission win against Nik Lentz at UFC Fight Night 67 and he was given a performance and fight of the night bonus for this victory.
Tickets for UFC Fight Night 74: Holloway vs. Oliveira go on sale Friday, June 26 at 10 a.m. CT and are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.ca and the SaskTel Centre box office. Ticket prices will be available soon. Ticket sales are limited to eight per person.
UFC Fight Club members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to this event Wednesday, June 24 at 10 a.m. CT via the website www.ufcfightclub.com and are limited to six per person. A special Internet ticket pre-sale will be available to UFC newsletter subscribers Thursday, June 25 starting at 10 a.m. CT with a limit of eight per person. To access this presale, users must register for the UFC newsletter through UFC.com.
