UFC Fight Night 68 took place on Saturday in New Orleans and was headlined by former PRIDE and Strikeforce champion Dan Henderson defeating Tim Boetsch by knockout in 28 seconds.
According to Nielson sources, the main card broadcast on Fox Sports 1 had an average live audience of 950,000 viewers and peaked at 1,208,000 viewers in the 12:15-12:30 a.m. ET quarter hour. The televised prelims also aired on Fox Sports 1 and this portion of the broadcast average 782,000 viewers.
Following the main card broadcast, the post fight show was part of Fox Sports Live (12:33-1 a.m. ET) and had an average live audience of 660,000 viewers.
When it came to the competition, the UFC card went up against boxing on HBO and Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final game on NBC. The boxing card ratings ranged from 1.289 million viewers (10:31-10:52 p.m. ET) to 1.589 million viewers (10:52-11:05 p.m. ET) and the NHL game averaged 6.6 million viewers.
