Steve Kennedy replaces Sergio Moraes, meets Peter Sobotta at UFC Fight Night 69

Sergio Moraes has pulled out of his UFC Fight Night 69 bout against Peter Sobotta due to undisclosed reasons and stepping up to meet Sobotta next weekend in Germany will be UFC newcomer Steve Kennedy. UFC Fight Night 69

UFC officials announced the fight change today.

UFC Fight Night 69 will come from the O2 World Berlin on June 20 and will be headlined by Joanna Jedrzejczyk defending the UFC women’s strawweight title against Jessica Penne.

Kennedy (22-6) is currently on a seven fight winning streak and five of those wins have come by stoppage. His most recent win came in March at Hex Fight Series 2 as he submitted Callan Potter in the first round. Sobotta (14-4-1) has gone unbeaten in his last seven fights and won his UFC debut last year against Pawel Pawlak. Prior to making his UFC debut, he had won six straight fights by rear-naked choke submission in the first round.
