Teemu Packalen replaces Jake Matthews, meets Mickael Lebout at UFC Fight Night 72

An undisclosed injury has forced Jake Matthews to pull out of his UFC Fight Night 72 bout against Mickael Lebout and stepping up to replace Matthews in the bout on short notice will be Teemu Packalen. UFC Fight Night 72

The fight change was announced earlier today by the UFC.

UFC Fight Night 72 will come from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on July 18 and will be headlined by a middleweight bout as Michael Bisping meets Thales Leites.

Packalen (7-0) is coming off a win in April as he defeated Suleiman Bouhata by submission. Five of his seven wins have come by submission and all of his wins have come by stoppage. Lebout (13-4-1, 1NC) lost his UFC debut in April when he was defeated by Sergio Moraes at UFC Fight Night 64. The defeat snapped a seven fight unbeaten streak and it was his first defeat in nearly two years.
