Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza vs. Yoel Romero set for UFC 194

A middleweight bout that was scheduled to take place earlier this year is now booked for UFC 194 as former Strikeforce champion Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza will meet Yoel Romero in a key 185 pound bout.

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Monday evening.

UFC 194 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on December 12 and will be headlined by a featherweight title unification bout as champion Jose Aldo meets interim champion Conor McGregor.

Souza (22-3, 1NC) is currently on an eight fight winning streak and five of those wins have come in the UFC. Seven of those wins have come by stoppage and his most recent win came in April against Chris Camozzi. Romero (10-1) will enter this fight on a six fight winning streak and all of those wins have come in the UFC. He is coming off a Performance of the Night victory against Lyoto Machida and five of his six wins in the UFC have come by stoppage.
