A heavyweight bout that was reported earlier this week is now official as Stipe Miocic will meet Ben Rothwell at UFC Fight Night 76 on October 24 in Ireland.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Friday.
UFC Fight Night 76 will come from The 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on October 24 and will be headlined by a lightweight bout as Dustin Poirier meets Joseph Duffy.
Miocic (13-2) is coming off a win against Mark Hunt at UFC Fight Night 65 and he is 7-2 in the UFC. He defeated Hunt by TKO and four of his wins in the UFC have come by TKO/KO. Rothwell (35-9) has won three straight fights and all of those wins have come by stoppage. His most recent win came in June as he submitted Matt Mitrione and it was his first submission victory since 2008.
