Updated Bellator 150: Galvao vs. Dantas II Fight Card; Spartan replaces Sakai, meets Kongo in co-main event

Bellator will be returning to the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kansas on February 26 and the fight card has a new co-main event as Vinicius “Spartan” Queiroz is replacing an injured Augusto Sakai against Cheick Kongo.

The fight change was announced by Bellator on Friday.

Bellator 150 will be headlined by a title fight rematch as Marcos Galvao makes his first bantamweight title defense as he is challenged by former Bellator champion Eduardo Dantas.

Along with announcing the new co-main event, Bellator officials announced the four main card fight as Lena Ovchynnikova will meet Rebecca Ruth in a women’s flyweight bout.

  2. And Bellator’s matchmaking has gotten a lot better. Esp for the non -tent poles. The tent poles are always stacked. But now non- tent poles are too. And I don’t mean non tent poles are stacked as in big names on it. I mean good matchups.

    And btw Sakaria vs Rogers is the main event on the Italy card from what I read and saw online. Did Bellator tell you otherwise? And if it really is the main event. That’s a really weak main event. It’s on a Saturday, but I don’t think it’s gonna be a big tent- pole. Hbu, what are you hearing?

    1. As of writing this, Grove vs. France is not a confirmed fight.

      In terms of matchmaking, there are several good fights that Bellator has made for upcoming card.

      Sakara vs. Rogers is not the main event of the fight card. Had this confirmed to me this morning and the main event will be announced shortly.

  3. How do you feel about bellator making Brown vs Gallemore 2, considering it appeared like Gallemore nearly took Browns life their last meeting. it’s a miracle Brown was able to compete again after that fight.

    1. When it comes to their first fight, the fight should have been stopped much quicker by the referee. Would need to talk to Gallemore and Brown to see why they want this rematch. My guess is that this is something Brown wants and Bellator matchmaker Rich Chou gave him what he wanted. Also, the Kansas Athletic Commission approved the fight, so they have no issues with this fight happening again after what happened in the first fight.

  5. Have you seen the Lombard vs Mangy fight booking and if so what are your thoughts?

    Also sites that reported it doesn’t even mention him being former Bellator champ. Even tho they always mention former UFC fighters fighting in Bellator. But most of the time they ignore former Bellator fighters fighting in the UFC. And they’re a lot more Bellator fighters in the UFC than they’re UFC fighters in Bellator.

    Actually most of the UFC roster have came from like more than 20 different organizations. Reason I mention that is bc most ppl think UFC created everyone.

    I think Overeem, Porier, Bendo, will re-sign with the UFC. Sterling will prolly sign with ONE, Rizin, or WSOF. Mitrione will either retire or sign with Bellator. I think Kaufman might sign with Bellator. They will also prolly bring back Shawn Jordan.

    Where do you think all the MMA free agents will end up? Do you agree with my predictions?

    Also for the remaining MLB free agents what teams do you see them signing with?

    Do you think your Magic will make any trades before the trade deadline? And do you think they can make the playoffs maybe as an 8th seed?

  6. I really hope Bellator does not sign Chris Leben. He’d fit best with WSOF or Rizin. What do you think?

  7. What is Talita Nogueria’s Bellator status do you know? It’s been about 2 yrs since they’ve signed her. And they still haven’t gave her a fight. I think she was supposed to fight Julia budd at Bellator 133, but she got injured.

    Bellator hasn’t offically announced their 125 women’s division. But they have 145 and 125 women’s divisions. I think they should try to sign Sara Kaufman. Hbu?

    I think UFC wants to add another women’s division. Prolly 145 or 125. Do you know which one?

    1. Got this after I recorded today’s episode of The MMA Report Podcast. I did talk about Kaufman on the show and what I think may be next for her. In terms of another women’s division in UFC, I have heard 105 or 125. On Talita, I will look into it.

  8. Tito vs Griffin 3 and Lashley vs Thompson 1 were the worst judging decisions I’ve ever seen. They’re a ton of really bad MMA decisions. And a lot of bad MMA refs. I hope this yr they get those 2 fixed.
