An undisclosed injury has forced Andrew Holbrook to pull out of next week’s UFC on FOX 18 and Sage Northcutt will now meet Bryan Barberena in a welterweight bout.
The fight change was announced by the UFC on Friday.
UFC on FOX 18 will come from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey next Saturday night and will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout as Anthony Johnson meets Ryan Bader.
Barberena (10-3) had been scheduled to face Jonavin Webb at UFC Fight Night 82 and a new opponent for Webb will likely be announced shortly by the UFC. This will be Barberena’s first fight since April of last year as he lost a decision against Chad Laprise. Northcutt (7-0) made his UFC debut last year and both of his wins in the UFC have come stoppage. His most recent win came in December as he defeated Cody Pfister by submission.
