Julian Erosa vs. Teruto Ishihara slated for UFC 196

The latest fight booking to the UFC 196 fight card next month is a featherweight about as The Ultimate Fighter 22 semifinalist Julian Erosa will meet Teruto Ishihara.

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on late Thursday evening.

UFC 196 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on March 5 and will be headlined by a title fight as Rafael dos Anjos defends the lightweight title against current featherweight champion Conor McGregor.

Erosa (15-2) won his official UFC debut in December at The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale as he scored a split decision win against Marcin Wrzosek. It was his fifth straight win and his previous four victories came by stoppage. Ishihara (7-2-2) was a finalist during Road to UFC Japan and fought Mizuto Hirota to a draw in his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 75. He has gone 4-1-2 in his last seven and all of those victories came by TKO/KO.
