Lightweight Adam Townsend will look to get back on the winning side of the fight tomorrow night at APEX Fights 10 in Kingsport, Tennessee as he will be facing Justin Hartley in the main event of the fight card.
Townsend (14-4) has gone through multiple opponent changes and was a guest on Tuesday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast” to promote his fight tomorrow night. During his appearance on the podcast, Townsend discussed his current status with RFA and how he is excited to be fighting back in his home state of Tennessee.
“I just got off the phone with the CEO of the RFA literally five minutes ago,” Townsend said. “We talk all the time. The RFA loves me. I love the RFA. They want me back. I told them that I wanted to do some local fights and they said it was cool. We are actually in the works of getting me an opponent and a date for the RFA here pretty soon.”
“It’s cool fighting on TV. It’s cool getting all of the support. It’s cool to see all the people throwing parties at restaurants,” he continued. “Having parties to watch me fight on TV and stuff like that. But at the end of the day, I go to the fights and nobody knows who I am. I am just there fighting for these promotions. I like interacting with the crowd. I like seeing all my homies that come out to support me. I like that and I feed off that. That is why I do so well at home so I am excited to be back and put on a show for this local crowd.”
