The main event of tonight’s ECC 24 card in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada will be a rematch in the light heavyweight division as Adam Hunter looks to even up the score with Mike Kent.
Hunter (5-1) lost his pro debut to Kent in 2010 by submission and since that fight, he has won five in a row and all of those wins have come by stoppage in the first round. On Thursday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Hunter talked about having redemption on his mind and what went wrong in the first fight against Kent.
“I was relatively inexperienced when I had that fight,” Hunter said. “Looking back on it, a lot of things I didn’t do. I just did not think of it and I just got real overzealous to try to finish it super quick. I kind of missed a lot of opportunities that I did not bother to take and he capitalized and won. After learning a bit more and getting some more experience, I definitely want some more redemption for that.”
