“Maestro” Dong Hyun Kim moves down to lightweight, meets Marco Polo Reyes at UFC 199

After losing his UFC debut as a welterweight, “Maestro” Dong Hyun Kim is moving down to the lightweight division at UFC 199 in June as he will meet Marco Polo Reyes on the preliminary card of the June 4 fight card.

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Friday.

UFC 199 will come from The Forum in Inglewood, California and will be headlined by a title fight rematch as Luke Rockhold defends the UFC middleweight title against former UFC champion Chris Weidman.

Kim (13-7-3) was defeated by Dominique Steele by knockout at UFC Fight Night 79 in November and the defeat snapped a two fight winning streak. Eleven of his thirteen wins have come by stoppage and six of those wins have come by TKO/KO.
