Unbeaten featherweight Peter Petties will be returning to the cage next Saturday night in Miami, Florida at Titan FC 38 as he will meet Caio Rocha in the event coming from the Miccosukee Casino.
Petties (3-0, 1NC) enters this fight following a no-contest in November against Brandon Kaiser and that fight took place two months after he won his Titan FC debut against Ikaika Tampos by stoppage. On Thursday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Petties was a guest on the show to preview his fight next weekend in Miami and talked about how it has been frustrating for him over the last year due to several scheduled fights being canceled for various reasons.
“It’s definitely super frustrating,” Petties said. “Last year, I would say probably I had three or four fights not actually happen that were scheduled. One time, I actually showed up to weigh-ins and we found out the morning of the guy had a second feeling about the fight and pulled out the morning of. That was probably the worse of it all. It’s a frustrating feeling. But at the same time, I think everything happens for a reason and it’s one of those things that lead to this Titan FC deal.”
